President Murmu rejects the mercy petition of the Pakistani Jihadi terrorist sentenced to death

New Delhi – On December 22, 2000, Jihadi terrorists opened fire on the security forces stationed at the Red Fort site. 3 soldiers were killed. In this case, the police arrested Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Muhammad Arif alias Ashfaq, a Pakistani citizen. Arif was found guilty of conspiring with other terrorists. The court sentenced him to death in October 2005. The decision was upheld by the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court in subsequent appeals. After this decision of the court, terrorist Arif had applied for mercy to the President. The President rejected it.
