New Delhi – The results of the Lok Sabha elections are out, and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) once again secured a clear majority but at the same time, there has been a significant decline in the number of seats won by BJP. In the last election, the BJP won 303 seats, but this time they have leads in only 240 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress-led INDI alliance is leading in over 230 seats. In the Exit polls, it was predicted that the BJP alliance would win 400 seats, but all these predictions have proven to be inaccurate. Similarly, it was forecast that the Congress alliance would secure between 150 and 170 seats, but this projection has also turned out to be incorrect.

Samajwadi Party and Congress alliance benefits in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP secured only 36 seats compared to the previous elections in 2014 and 2019. In contrast, the alliance between the Samajwadi Party and Congress won 42 seats. It is being said that these parties are gaining these seats due to the unanimous support of Muslim voters.

Efforts to form a Congress-led INDI Alliance Government

Although the BJP alliance has secured a majority, the opposition Congress-led INDI alliance is also trying to form the Government. They are reaching out to parties within the BJP alliance, attempting to bring them into the INDI fold to establish a governing coalition.
