3 people including 2 doctors from ‘Sassoon Hospital’ suspended for tampering the blood samples of the accused

Pune – Dr Ajay Taware, Dr Shrihari Haranol and hospital staff member Atul Ghatkamble of Sassoon Hospital, who changed the blood samples to save the main accused in the ‘Porsche’ car accident case at Kalyaninagar, have been suspended. Dr Atul Taware is also removed from the responsibilities he is currently handling. So far 10 people have been arrested in connection with the accident. Dr Taware has a flat in ‘Gita Society’ in Cantonment area. The Police searched the apartment. It is said that some important evidence has been found. Dr Taware’s name has come forward for changing the blood samples of the main accused. A few days ago, 2 people were killed when a minor boy driving a ‘Porche’ under the influence of alcohol hit a two-wheeler.
Support my son
After the accident, the main accused was brought to Sassoon Hospital. The father of the accused, Mr Vishal Agarwal called Dr Atul Taware 14 times in 2 hours on WhatsApp, asking him to ‘support his son’ and lured him with money. Technical analysis (CDR report) of the chat has confirmed that they had a conversation.
Accused and his father are non-cooperating with the Police
It is seen in the CCTV footage of the accused’s residence, that his father (Vishal) and grandfather (Surendra) have committed the crimes such as tampering with footage, forcing the driver to take the blame, forcibly hiding the mobile phone of the driver, kidnapping the driver and keeping the driver in confinement. While verifying the footage, accused and his father are giving vague answers. As per the media, they are not cooperating with the Police. The BMW used by the accused to abduct the driver is now taken into custody.
The truth told by the eyewitnesses
Auto driver Amin Sheikh, an eyewitness of the accident, said, “A speeding ‘Porsche’ car hit the bike so hard that the girl on the bike (Ashwini Koshta) was thrown approximately 15 to 20 feet in the air, who died on the spot. Even the boy on the two-wheeler (Anish Avadiya) was thrown aside. 2 minors were sitting in the front of the car. People were beating them up by pulling them out of the car. The boys were offering money to those beating them and were pleading not to do so. They also offered to pay for the damages.”
8-hour-long inquiry by ‘Special Investigation Committee’
The ‘Special Investigation Committee’ interrogated the doctors, nurses and staff of the hospital for 8 hours in the case of changing blood samples in ‘Sassoon Hospital’. The committee visited he actual spot and enquired about how and where the blood samples were collected and the events happened from there.
Investigation of the Juvenile Justice Board ?
In just 15 hours after the accident, the ‘Juvenile Justice Board’ granted bail to the accused. As a punishment, accused was asked to write a 300 word essay. Citizens expressed their anger on this punishment. After that, the commissioner of ‘Women and Juvenile Justice Board’, Prashant Naranavare, ordered an inquiry and constituted a committee.
Discussion of Chief Minister with the Police Commissioner
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde held a 10-minute discussion with Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar over mobile phone. He reviewed the matter. He said, “The State Government is in full support of the Police. Noone’s interference will be tolerated. The families of the 2 youths who lost their lives must get justice. Investigate in a manner that the ‘case’ will survive in Court.” Chief Minister Shinde has also instructed if the section of ‘organised crime’ be extended ? Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will inspect the incident site as well.
