Blood sample of accused thrown in the trash by Sassoon doctors
|
Pune – In connection with the ‘Porsche’ accident at Kalyani Nagar, the blood sample of the accused was sent to a forensic lab. However, the doctors at Sassoon Hospital replaced the accused’s blood sample with another person’s blood sample. The doctors threw the blood sample of the accused in the dustbin. The new blood sample collected from another person was then sent as that of the accused to a forensic lab. The doctors were paid Rs 3 lakhs for the job by Surendra Kumar Agarwal, the grandfather of the accused. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar gave this information in a press conference.
On the instructions of Dr Ajay Taware, Dr Shrihari Harlor collected the blood sample of the accused. Instead of sending this sample to the forensic lab, he sent a blood sample of another person for testing. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that such fraud was expected, therefore, the blood sample of the accused was already sent to a hospital at Aundh.
Blood sample of the accused
The blood sample sent to Aundh was of the accused as per a report, which matched the sample of the accused’s father. The blood sample collected at Sassoon didn’t match with the father’s blood sample. Fraud in sending the blood samples was anticipated, and two doctors have been taken into custody.

Editorial Perspective
The incident shows how the doctors can stoop to a low level for money. The Government should take back their medical degree and send them to jail. |
