New Delhi – The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has published some health-related guidelines. It says that reheating vegetable or any other oil again and again should be avoided. Reheating creates certain toxic components in the oil which increase the risk of heart disease and cancer.

1. ICMR advised that cooking oil that has been used once should not be used again. The oil that is left after cooking food should be finished in a day or two.

2. Earlier research had shown that cooking oil when used and reheated, it becomes toxic. If consumed, it increases the risk of swelling and other serious diseases.
