Kannur (Kerala) – On May 13th, two ice cream bombs exploded in Pariyaram, Kannur. Authorities are currently searching for the individuals responsible for the attack. The incident is believed to be linked to the ongoing conflict between the Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI(M) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over temple offerings made by devotees.
After these bomb blasts, tension has arisen in the area. The explosions occurred just a few meters away from the police station, prompting authorities to deploy additional police forces to the scene. In response, police have initiated discussions with representatives from both the CPI(M) and the BJP.
