If Israel attacks our nuclear facilities, we will make nuclear bombs : Iran’s threat to Israel
Tehran (Iran) – Iran could be pushed into building a nuclear weapon if Israel threatens its existence, an adviser to the country’s supreme leader has warned. “We have not taken any decision to make nuclear weapons but should Iran’s existence be threatened, there will be no choice but to change our military doctrine,” said Kamal Kharrazi, an advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Conflict escalated in April after Iran fired more than 3,000 rockets at Israel, Israel also fired missiles near Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Earlier in January, David Albright, a former UN weapons inspector in Iraq, wrote in his report, “Today, Iran would need only about a week to produce enough for its first nuclear weapon. It could have enough weapon-grade uranium for six weapons in one month and after five months of producing weapon-grade uranium, it could have enough for 12.”
