Muslims need to introspect : PM Modi’s appeal to Muslims

Think why you did not get the benefits from the Government during the Congress rule ? : Prime Minister

PM Modi

New Delhi – “I am saying this for the first time. I ask the educated people of the Muslim community to introspect. The country is progressing so much. If there is any deficiency in your community, think about the reasons. Why did you not get the benefits from the Government during the Congress rule ? Take a decision after introspection. Do not spoil the future of your children,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a special interaction with a Hindi news channel.

Prime Minister Modi said in the interview,

1. Prior to 2002, there used to be riots in Gujarat at least 7 out of every 10 years; but after 2002 there has not been a single riot in Gujarat.

2. Global Muslim community is changing. Today, when I visit the Gulf countries, I personally get a lot of respect there and so does India. ‘Yoga’ is one of the prescribed subjects in the curriculum in Saudi Arabia. If I talk about yoga in India, my opponents say, ‘Modi is anti-Muslim’

3. I do not want any community to live life of a labourer.

4. We are neither against Islam nor Muslims. When I passed the law to abolish triple talaq, the Muslim women thought, ‘Modi is a genuine person’. Even when I introduced the vaccine for COVID-19, people felt the same way. We do not discriminate against anyone.
