Israel retaliates to Hamas’ attack : 16 killed in an attack on Rafah

Tel Aviv – Israel’s military launched an airstrike in Rafah in response to the rocket attack by Hamas. 16 people were killed in this attack. Hamas attacked near Kerem Shalom in southern Israel earlier in the day. 3 soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces were killed in this attack.

Eminent sources in the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office had said that the War Cabinet would meet on 6th May and decide to attack Rafah. Earlier, Israel reported that 3 Israeli soldiers were killed and 9 wounded in an attack by Hamas. Approximately 10 bombs were fired from the town of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. Israel’s military released a statement of Hamas claiming responsibility for the attack.
