‘Newsmaker Achievers Award 2024’ function of ‘Afternoon Voice’

Mumbai, 2nd May – On Maharashtra Day, the online newspaper ‘Afternoon Voice’ held the 16th Newsmakers Achievers Award -2024 function at Yashwantrao Pratishthan at Nariman Point. Eminent personalities from various fields such as journalism, literature, Indian Classical Dance, social work, medical field, film industry, etc, were felicitated for their noteworthy contribution in this function. Dr Vaidehi Tamhan, the Editor-in-chief of ‘Afternoon Voice’ and her team organised this programme.

Mrs Amruta Fadanvis, the wife of Maharashtra Dy Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis was invited as the Chief Guest of the programme. The programme was attended by distinguished guests working in different fields.

The programme was started with a recitation of ‘Ved-mantras’. The distinguished guests attending the programme included Mr Harjinder Kang, Trade Commissioner for South Asia and the British Deputy High Commissioner for Western India, Mr Satinder Pal Ahuja, Honorary Consul of Georgia in Mumbai and Mr Kobi Shoshani, who were lauded for their efforts in fostering global harmony and understanding. The programme was also attended by dignitaries viz. Mr Suresh Chavhanke (Chief Editor of Sudarshan News), Chetan Rajhans (National Spokesperson, Sanatan Sanstha), Abhay Vartak (Dharmapracharak, Sanatan Sanstha), etc.

Lifetime Achievement Awards

Kathya Dancer Padmashri Dr. Puru Dadhich, Manipuri dancer Padmashri Darshana Zaveri, actress Salma Agha and filmmaker K.C. Bokadia was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Arjun Deshpande, who provides medicines to citizens at low cost through the establishment ‘Generic Aadhaar’, was honored as ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur’. State Food and Drug Administration Minister Dharmarao Baba Atram, who took the initiative to provide employment to hundreds of people in Naxal-affected areas, was honored with the ‘Outstanding People’s Leader’ award.

Dr Uday Nirgudkar was felicitated as ‘Outstanding News Correspondent’. Along with this, actress Adah Sharma was awarded as ‘Outstanding Artist’. Mangesh Chiwte, Special Duty Officer of Chief Minister’s Medical Aid Unit and Jitendra Pardesi, Superintendent of Mumbai Municipal Corporation, were honored as ‘Eligible Officers’.

Actress Madhu and actor Deepak Tijori were awarded for Best Bahuyami Acting, Shirish Joshi for creating excellent music by playing Sheel, Hina D’Souza for Best Filmmaker, Actress Rasika Agashe for Best Personality in Film Industry, Araham Sawant for Best Acting. Aam Aadmi Party leader Preeti Sharma Menon was felicitated for her good work in politics. Dr. for social work. Nia Madmapani, Dr. Tatyasaheb Lahane, Sales Manager (Sales Manager) Neetu Joshi were honoured.
